Handcrafted to showcase the zippy natural acidity of Barossa's Eden Valley, this aromatic wine is reminiscent of the great whites of Alsace and pays homage to Winemaker Simon Adams' experiences in France. 'The GT' is the shortened version of Gewurztraminer for obvious reasons; try saying the full varietal name after a few glasses!
The Sorby Adams Home Vineyard sits high in the eastern hills of the Barossa. First planted in 1932, it is home to some of the oldest vines in the Eden Valley region. It's gnarled twisted vines produce elegant and refined wines in the classic cool climate style.
Flavours
Picked at optimum ripeness to capture the exquisite varietal character Gerwurztraminer. 'The GT' is a pungent combination of exotic lychees and rose petals with a touch of spicy cinnamon. The palate is lively and full of texture, finishing long and fine.
Drinking well now or can be cellared for extra complexity.
