operated company that also owns the Wine Empire. The auction site utilizes a custom built
website/auction platform; MYOB and SQL servers. Driven by a team of dedicated and
professional individuals, Empire Auctions operates through state-of-the-art processes, great
distribution channels and a large warehouse to deliver our wine to you in top condition and
great efficiency. With teams consisting of customer service, purchasing, accounts, logistics
and IT professionals, we continuously strive to provide an enhanced auction and retail
experience while building and maintaining our reputation and customer loyalty.
As we are an online business, you can click on our site for wine deals all year round, 24
hours a day,7 days a week and save between 30-60% off cellar door and retail prices or
alternative source that rare wine to complete your collection.
There are two different ways to buy items using our site.
1: Auction categories
Auction items can be purchased by placing bids similar to a physical auction process. A Buyers
Premium and GST will apply and will be charged in addition to the final bid amount. These items can also be
identified by the ‘hammer’ icon next to the products listing.
2: Buy Now categories
Buy now items are purchased for a fixed retail price. These items are not auctioned and will appear in
the Buy Now Category Sections listed on the left hand side of the home page. These items can also be
identified by the ‘shopping bag’ icon next to the product listing. The majority of our fixed price retail
transactions occur on www.wineempire.com.au which is our sister company.
